The Lord of the Ring

The Lord of the Ring, directed by Peter Jackson is such a great movie, a movie worth  to be thought of.  Movies tell stories. Same goes to this. Yes I am just finished watching it. I came to this movie after watching The Hobbit. What I learnt from this movie? Well that’s a lot. One of the emphasize that I would like to make, is on the ring. While I am indulging myself in the hobbits adventure, there was something doubt me. There are many special abilities that the story writer can equip it to the ring. For example, the owner of the ring can become immortal once wears on it. But why ‘invisible’ ?  I believe there are some reasons behind this. If the danger faced by those hobbits are symbolizing the life difficulties in reality, then the ring must be represented escapism. When they are facing threats, they may use the ring and escape. But will the threats remain? Yes of course. They might save their own life and avoid casualties, but it's just for short term. The threats will still exist and continue to haunt at them. That’s what shown by Frodo Baggins, the main character in this story. He insisted not to use the ring while facing danger, as he knows the ring might control him and lost his rational. He fought all the way and destroyed the ring ( escapism ) in the fire of Mount Doom, though the journey is full of challenges, both mentally and physically. This is what we should learn and practice in daily life. Bear in mind, escaping does not solve the problems that turn around us.  Let us stop escaping and face it with full of courage. As quoted in this movie, ‘ Courage is the best defense ‘ when we are facing strong enemies.
